Your ContributionAs a Geotechnical Engineer, this candidate will work in collaboration with the Geotechnical Department, report to the Team Lead, and support a wide variety of projects. This role will be, but not limited to: Conducting and leading geotechnical engineering designs, managing project schedules and budgets, preparing proposals and cost estimates Writing and/or reviewing geotechnical reports, specifications, and other deliverables related to a variety of geotechnical projects including low and high-rise buildings, commercial and industrial buildings, slope stability and erosion risk assessment studies, and subdivision development Designing project specific field investigation programmes and laboratory testing programmes to meet the deliverable requirements Conducting Slope stability analysis and geotechnical designs to meet the regulatory requirements for Conservation Authorities and other government agencies To sign and seal geotechnical reports; mentoring junior engineers/EITs and technicians; reviewing proposals and reports prepared by junior engineers/EITs, Liaising regularly with clients (contractors, developers including government and regulatory agencies) to ensure project requirements are met with respect to deliverable requirements, schedule and budgets, billing Fostering client relationships throughout the project life cycle including acting in a technical advisory role To promote and market Terraprobe's services by establishing and maintaining positive client relationships with internal and external stakeholders Your Profile P.Eng. License with Professional Engineers of Ontario with 10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering Excellent communication skills (oral and written) Valid G class driver's licence; comfortable driving within and outside the GTA Strong collaborative and independent working skills Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; experience report writing Demonstrated interest and sensitivity towards occupational health and safety Comfortable with occasional out of town travel for project related works as required Proven commitment to providing excellent client service and enjoy working in a team environment and independently Qualifications: P.Eng.
