Helen Betty Osborne Ininiw Education Resource Centre is a Nursery to Grade 12 school serving approximately 1,300 students and a professional staff of 90, including 3 Vice-Principals. It is one of the largest and most unique schools in the province. The school is located in Norway House, Manitoba which is a thriving community situated at the picturesque tip of Lake Winnipeg and the Nelson River. The community is fully serviced with a hospital, shopping mall, two community recreation complexes, a post-secondary campus and daily air service.Working in collaboration with the classroom teacher, the Literacy Support Teacher provides the following services: Programming support and development<p> Classroom support<p> Individualized and small group instruction<p> Assessments Qualifications: Bachelor of Education Degree and Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)<p> Current knowledge of effective literacy instruction and assessment practices<p> Experience providing, creating and implementing individualized programming for At Risk students and students with special needs<p> Knowledge and experience with the Confident Learners Program through The Learning Bar<p> Strong planning and communication skills<p> A strong background in formative assessment and data-driven instruction<p> Knowledge and implementation of cooperative learning/small group instruction<p> The ability to work alongside teachers, colleagues and contribute collaboratively as a team member Applicants are required to submit the following: cover letter<p> current resume<p> list of three professional references including email addresses and contact numbers, all of whom must have knowledge of the applicants performance in the applicants current or recent assignment <p>Thank you for your interest; however, only applicants selected for an interview will be contacted. <p>By applying, you consent to the Division contacting your references.
