The Lynn Lake Adult Learning Centre serves about 20 adult learners each year. Located in West Lynn Heights, a Kindergarten to Grade 12 school with approximately 235 students. Lynn Lake is approximately 3 hours by vehicle northwest of Thompson, Manitoba. The areas natural beauty provides for an abundance of outdoor recreation opportunities. Dozens of lakes and rivers in the surrounding region make Lynn Lake a popular hunting and fishing destination.Qualifications: Bachelor of Education degree and Valid Manitoba Teachers Certificate (or eligibility for)<p> Masters Degree in Education/Administration and/or Certificate in School Leadership would be an asset<p> At least five years of teaching experience and five years of administration experience<p> Excellent understanding of current Manitoba Curricula and differentiated instruction<p> Extensive knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life and experience with integrating Indigenous culture and land-based teaching into curriculum <p> Proficiency in a variety of computer applications in a network environment and experience with and understanding of school-based technology <p> Strong instructional leader with the ability to work with teachers to promote and deliver inclusive schooling<p> Excellent communication and interpersonal skills<p> Ability to effectively communicate with parents, the community and foster parental involvement<p> Ability to work in partnership with community agencies<p> Previous success with the development and implementation of short and long term school-based plans<p> Experience leading innovative and creative program delivery for students<p> Capacity to work in and respond to a demanding, fast-paced school environment<p> Ability to speak an Indigenous language would be preferred Applicants are required to submit the following: cover letter<p> current resume<p> list of three professional references including email addresses and contact numbers, all of whom must have knowledge of the applicants performance in the applicants current or recent assignment <p>Thank you for your interest; however, only applicants selected for an interview will be contacted. <p>By applying, you consent to the Division contacting your references.
