School Principals are members of the Public School Administrators Association of Nova Scotia (PSAANS). Qualifications: (a) A valid Nova Scotia Teacher's Certificate; (b) Masters Degree in Education or equivalent; (c) Minimum of five (5) years successful teaching experience in the education field; (d) Minimum of three (3) years successful experience as a Vice-Principal. Salary: This position is classified on the Education Entities Non-Union Compensation Framework, Bands 11 to 14. The current placement of schools within these Bands is referenced in 'Schedule B' of the Non Union Compensation Framework which is available here: https://www.ednet.ns.ca/docs/educationnon-unioncompensationframeworken.pdf . Pay Bands are assigned as follows: PSAANS terms and conditions of employment can be found on myHRCE under Document Depot/Human Resource Services/ Public School Administrators Association.
