Responsibilities
Tasks

Coordinate the movement of patients through the health care system

Employ creative problem solving to identify opportunities for process improvement in bed assignment, transfer, patient flow and resource utilization

Ensure that appropriate administrative procedures are followed

Ensure that quality nursing care is provided to patients

Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment

Assist in the establishment of unit policies and procedures

Assist in the selection, evaluation and professional development of personnel

Set up and co-ordinate nursing services in conjunction with other health services
