<b>ROLE SUMMARY </b>:<br> <span><span>In a general way, the professor's teaching load shall include: preparation of course outline; preparation of classes, labs and fieldwork; teaching of classes, labs and fieldwork; adaptation; support and supervision of students; preparation, invigilation and correction of examinations; revision of corrections at the students? request and other activities when required.</span></span><br><br><b>DUTIES</b>:<br><p>The College is seeking an hourly paid professor to join a dynamic team to teach a credited Cégep level course within Continuing Education for the 2024 Summer School Program. <strong>The course will be taught ONSITE.</strong></p>* Please note that the College reserves the right to cancel the class due to lack of enrolment.<p><strong>202-NYB-05 Chemistry of Solutions </strong>(75 hours)<br>(July 2nd to July 26th, 2024, Monday to Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.)<br>Chemistry of Solutions is the second chemistry course in the Science. It is a more in depth and quantitative approach of many of the topics studied previously. Units include properties of solutions, kinetics, equilibria, acids and bases, thermodynamics, electrochemical principles and the major concepts governing why and how chemical reactions occur in solutions are discussed in this laboratory-oriented course.</p><b>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED</b>:<ul><li><span><span><span>Minimum of a Master's degree in Chemistry or in a related field.</span></span></span></li><li><span><span><span>To have some teaching experience would be considered an asset.</span></span></span></li></ul><b>ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS</b>:<ul></ul><span><span><span><span><strong>Ability to:</strong></span></span></span></span><ul><li><span><span>Create a dynamic, challenging, and motivated learning environment.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Adapt to a variety of needs and provide appropriate online support.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Demonstrate knowledge of subject matter through academic or non-academic experiences.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Apply theoretical concepts to current workplace needs and skill requirements.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Must be flexible as required.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Must be willing to work collaboratively within Continuing Education.</span></span></li></ul><b>SALARY RANGE (PER HOUR)</b>: <br><span>81.93$ - 120.53$</span>- LocationGatineau, QC
