You will?Perform scheduled maintenance of all waterworks and sewage collection system components Support the water sampling program when necessary by taking water samples and interpreting results Regularly monitor gauges, meters, and control panels and adjust any variations within the operating conditions of the system, if/when necessary, under the advisement of senior operator Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of all related tools and equipment Maintain records and prepares reports for water and wastewater systems Assist with water and sewer service installations Be part of the rotating on-call schedule is required for this position which includes responding to after hour calls within a 20-minute response time and takes corrective action as requiredMust Haves:One year of recent experience at a Class 2 or higher distribution/treatment facility EOCP Water Distribution Operator?s Certificate (Level 2) EOCP Water Treatment Operator?s Certificate (Level 2) Waste Water Collection Operator?s Certificate (Level 1) Backflow assembly tester certificate Minimum First-aid training (Level 1) St. John Ambulance or alternate Valid Class 1 or Class 3 BC Driver?s License with Air Brake endorsementPerks of Working at WFN:Competitive compensation package including 3 weeks? vacation Extended Health Care (including Vision and Paramedical Services), Dental, Basic Life Insurance, Employee Assistance Program, and Health Spending Account Municipal Pension Plan membership Access to Big White Season Passes (Summer & Winter) Employee Recognition Program Access to LinkedIn Learning for Professional DevelopmentMinimum salary for this position is $58,000Application Details:To review the full job description and to learn more about Westbank First Nation please visit our website at https://www.wfn.ca.
