Secondary School Credit Teacher (1 Position) Hairstyling and Barbering Program Occasional Teachers - Hairstyling and Barbering Program - St. Louis Adult Learning & Continuing Education <p>Posting Number: AC-2024-28 <p>Applications for the above teaching position at St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centres are invited from all qualified and interested applicants. The Hairstyling and Barber Teacher will be responsible to the Principal of St. Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education Centres to teach the Hairstyling and Barber Program at St. Louis.<p>Course Codes: TXJ3E, TFB3E, TFC3E/4E and TXJ4EGeneral Description of Duties: <p> Develop lesson plans and deliver curriculum to students<p> Use a variety of instructional strategies<p> Evaluate student progress, provide ongoing feedback to students, and complete report cards at the end of each term<p> Order consumable materials for the classroom and the salon<p> Work collaboratively with coop teachers to prepare students for their placements<p> Lead after school intake sessions for prospective students <p>Minimum Requirements: <p> Hold a current Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification<p> Have senior qualifications in the subject area (Technological Studies Personal Services/Hairstyling) <p>Desirable Assets: <p> Hold a current Ontario Trade Certification of Qualification as a Hairstylist<p> Previous teaching experience<p> Have experience working in the hair industryPlease be aware that applicants to St Louis Adult Learning and Continuing Education are NOT required to be Catholic.Salary Level $ 47.27 per hour, plus Stat and Vacation Pay<p>Hours of Work : 30 hours/week<p> Monday Friday 8:45 am 3:30 pm (with a 45 min unpaid lunch)<p> Start Date: August 29, 2024<p>**Up to 3 days of planning and set up will be scheduled between August 29 September 3, 2024.
