Education: Bachelor's degree. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Personal and social adjustment and health (substance abuse, gambling, behaviour disorders). Socio-economic needs or conditions (housing, nutrition, unemployment, financial assistance). Services for the homeless. Work setting: Women's shelter. Tasks: Prepare reports or case histories. Administrative and office activities. Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services. Develop specialized rehabilitation programs. Perform administrative tasks. Prepare classification reports recommending type of incarceration and types of interventions for rehabilitation. Conduct social research. Implement life skills workshops. Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs. Conduct follow-up assessments. Sign language. Develop, co-ordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community. Housekeeping activities. Food preparation. Provide suicide and crisis intervention. Resolve conflict situations. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Manage events. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Emergency child care first aid and CPR. First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Food Safety Certificate.
