Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Prepare and submit reports. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Co-ordinate, assign and review work. Train workers in duties and policies. Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Establish work schedules and procedures. Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques. Professionalism in customer service. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Supervision: 5-10 people. Documentation knowledge: Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Personal suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills. Flexibility. Team player. Excellent oral communication. Reliability. Organized. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
