Job details
Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Confined spaces. Dusty. Work setting: Construction. Various locations. Commercial. Residential. Installation. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Tasks: Install underground wiring and cables. Design and construct single-phase service for single or multimeter installations. Splice, join and connect wires. Design and construct low voltage (30 to 750V) multiphase service for single or multimeter installations. Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits. Troubleshoot and isolate faults. Connect power to audio and visual equipment. Install surface mount and/or overhead cables. Install power generation, stand-by power generation and power conditioning systems. Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems and structures including swimming pools and hot tubs. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Electrician Trade Certification. Apprenticeship training: Pre-apprenticeship training. Level one apprenticeship training. Level two apprenticeship training. Level three apprenticeship training. Level four apprenticeship training. Equipment and machinery experience: Conventional electrical devices. Motors and controls. Hand tools. Area of work experience: Quality assurance or control. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Overtime required. Tight deadlines. Own tools/equipment: Tools.
