Job details

Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo. Transport and handle dangerous goods. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Air Brakes Endorsement. Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks). Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Bill of lading. Dangerous goods occurrence reports. Driver logbook. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Maintenance and repair reports. Trans-border documentation. Trip reports. Type of trucking and equipment: Dump truck. Flatbed. Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles). Tractor-trailer. Tractor-trailer A train. Tractor-trailer B train. Transportation/travel experience: Long-haul. Provincial/territorial. Security and safety: Valid passport. Basic security clearance. Criminal record check. Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Travel expenses paid by employer. Willing to travel for extended periods.
