Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Manufacture. Tasks: Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools. Clean and maintain work space. Equipment and machinery experience: Jig grinder. Milling machines. Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Area of work experience: Fabrication. Repetitive machining operation experience: Milling. Grinding. Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs). Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Reliability. Ability to multitask. Screening questions: Are you available for the advertised start date?. Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?.
