Novella Wealth is a financial brokerage located in Richmond, BC. We are looking for a full-time Operations Managerto join our team.
*Overview:*
The Operations Manager is a key part of the Operations team and manages the general operations of the brokerage, monitors the efficacy of the department, improves operating processes, and reports to upper management. The responsibilities include creating long-term plans and initiatives to accomplish company goals efficiently, identifying problems and coming up with effective solutions quickly, monitoring changing industry conditions and adjusting strategies accordingly. You will provide inspired leadership for the operations for Novella Wealth, which involves making important policy and strategic decisions, as well as the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures. Other duties include high-level HR duties, such as attracting talent and setting training standards and hiring procedures, overseeing the hiring of staff and onboarding of new advisors and help promote a company culture that encourages morale and performance.
*Duties:*
Business Operations:
?Implement important policy, planning, and strategy decisions.
?Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures to enhance company operation efficiency.
?Work with the Management team to promote business development within sales revenue and recruitment targets for business growth.
?Manages all legal and regulatory documents and monitors and implements compliance updates to be aligned with changing industry conditions, laws, and regulations.
?Work with the Management team to determine values and missions, and plan for short and long-term goals.
?Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.
?Build alliances and partnerships with other affiliated companies and organizations.
?Support the Advisory team by liaising with the Management team.
?Assist the Management team to communicate to staff, organize various staff meetings and announcements.
HR:
? Act as HR and be the first point of contact for all HR-related inquiries for staff.
? Oversee the entire hiring process, including creating and maintaining active job postings.
? Conduct staffing and recruitment procedures, including recruiting, screening, and interviewing job applicants.
? Coordinate all staff onboarding and off-boarding, preparing contracts, and maintaining team member files.
? Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
? Facilitate staff review meetings.
? Maintain staff files and records, including vacation/time-off requests and timekeeping.
Advisor Recruitment, Contracting, and Licensing:
? Act as the first point of contact for all new advisor onboarding, licensing, and contracting needs.
? Assist with HLLQP enrolment and registration.
? Implement advisor screening and monitoring procedures consistent with industry standards and compliance.
? Process provincial licensing forms and insurance carrier contract applications.
? Manage and send renewed licenses and E&Os to insurance companies in a timely manner.
? Coordinate with insurance companies? contracting departments regarding contracting inquiries and updates.
? Maintain advisor files and records.
? Monitor the advisor?s compliance with operational policies and procedures.
Marketing:
? Plan event flow and program, book event venues and speakers, as applicable.
? Facilitate event guest invitations and RSVP lists.
? Create event marketing promotions, documentation, and assessments, i.e., surveys.
? Create in-house marketing and promotional materials, coordinating with insurance companies regarding company-specific campaigns and contests.
? Liaise with external marketing companies for marketing promotion and execution of marketing campaigns.
Assistance to the Founders:
? Assist in other related tasks assigned by the Founders and delegate as needed.
