*Job Title*: Accountant
*Job Summary*:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be working together with our bookkeeper and be responsible for processing payroll for employees, financial audits and reports, sourcing deductions, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring financial records are accurate throughout the year.
*Responsibilities:*
- Utilize accounting software such as Quickbooks and other tools to maintain accurate financial records.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable duties efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Conduct account analysis and reconciliation processes to verify balances and ensure accuracy.
- Perform bank reconciliations to track financial transactions and maintain up-to-date records.
- Assist in financial auditing processes to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
- Manage payroll tasks accurately and in a timely manner to support employee compensation.
- Process payroll for employees and HST-related fillings.
*Experience:*
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role within the financial services industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software like Quickbooks and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of financial services, bank reconciliation, and account analysis.
- Experience with payroll processing and familiarity with accounts payable procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
