What you will do: Reporting to the director of Éducation inclusive au secondaire and the director of Relations et Éducation internationales et interculturelles in the Secteur éducatif francophone, the provincial learning specialist responsible for intercultural education and language upgrading at the high school level will play an essential role in supporting the development of students' intercultural and language skills. The successful candidate will work closely with educational teams and community partners to develop and implement educational programs promoting cultural diversity and language upgrading.The key responsibilities of the position are: Developing the collective capacity to offer programs and services that help achieve each learner's Career Life Plan in a learning context that values intercultural perspectives. Establishing teaching resources and initiatives for developing intercultural skills, helping to upgrade language skills and promoting an inclusive school environment that respects cultural differences. Cooperating with various partners and educational teams. Other related duties may be added to those listed. Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:Need to have:A Master's degree in education and a minimum of six (6) years' teaching experience in an inclusive K-12 public education system OR a Bachelor's degree in education and a minimum of seven (7) years' related experience.An equivalent combination of education, training and experience in a field such as adult education/coaching may be considered.Written and spoken competence in French is required.
