Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect defects. Establish NDI techniques and calibration standards. Set up and operate radiographic equipment. Develop and interpret radiographic film. Calibrate, test and interpret ultrasonic equipment. Set up, calibrate, operate and interpret magnetic particle, eddy current, liquid penetrant, acoustic emission, and infrared thermographic equipment. Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations. Instruct and supervise trainees. Maintain test result reports. Maintain detailed repair, inspection and certification records and reports. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : NRCAN Certification Liquid Penetrant testing Level 2. NRCAN Certification Industrial Radiography Level 2. Nondestructive Testing Certificate. Testing equipment and methods: Radiographic. Liquid penetrant. Nondestructive testing. Area of work experience: Aircraft/aerospace manufacturing. Metal processing. Personal suitability: Accurate. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication.
