*Position*: *Manufacturing Engineer*
*Reports to:* Director of Operations
*Department*: Manufacturing
*Primary Responsibilities:*
* Assist manufacturing floor in productivity and process improvements
* Develop, install, program, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot manufacturing automation and controls.
* Oversee and mentor maintenance personnel on the troubleshooting and repair of automation equipment.
* NPI project meetings, statements of work, process FMEAs, and process flow
* Research, recommend, and prepare new equipment/programs
* Assist fixture and station design, setup, sampling, and work instructions for new equipment
* Ensuring that all assembly processes operate within lean manufacturing principles
* Identification of manufacturing process improvements to existing process to include a cost benefit analysis to allow senior evaluation and approval
* Manage automation and controls vendors.
* Lead and perform root cause analysis on production, engineering, equipment and maintenance issues
* Input of manufacturing (tooling, assembly and manufacturing test equipment) estimates to quotations to our potential customers
* Time studies and make recommendations for improvement in material handling
* Establish and maintain work standards for product costing and productivity measurement
* Identify key tasks that may be able to be updated or altered to provide a faster turnaround or more efficient way of operating.
* Other duties and responsibilities as required.
*Required Qualifications and Experience:*
* Computer skills, MS Office, Outlook,
* Solid Works, E1, PLC Programming, and AutoCAD experience an asset
* Safety Systems Experience
* Experience in project management
* Hands-on problem solving and critical thinking
* Diploma or Degree in Engineering
* Professional Engineer Designation an asset
* Facilitation and strong communication skills are required.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles

Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
