The following positions are open for applications:<p>DISTRICT SYSTEM ANALYST 1 CUPE<p>Competition No. 5840 Location: Squamish<p>Area Effective: August 1, 2024 Hours: 8.0 hours per day, 12 months per year Rate of Pay: $38.05/hour Our Information, Communications and Technology<p>(ICT) Department, based in Squamish, BC, provides remote and on-site ICT<p>service and support to over 16 physical School District Sites across the Sea to<p>Sky Region, encompassing Squamish, Whistler, Pemberton and DArcy. We are seeking 1 full time System Analyst 1 to join the team.Duties & Responsibilities: Under the direction of the ICT Manager, and working<p>with a team of IT professionals, the Systems Analyst 1 leads the hands-on<p>technical administration for District-wide IT resources while protecting the<p>integrity and confidentiality of District Information. Holds a key role in the design,<p>implementation and support of IT infrastructure and operations in a mixed, primarily<p>Microsoft/AD environment, on and off-premise. <p>Areas include: servers, networking, firewalls, Wi-Fi, security policies,<p>cloud (SaaS) services, multi-platform device management. Helps guide activities of department<p>employees, acting as a resource and mentor, assisting the team in maintaining<p>and recommending constantly improving standards, solutions and procedures. <p>Qualifications: <p> Minimum two year<p>post-secondary technical diploma; Microsoft Certified Professional MCP certification <p> Advanced technical<p>competence in the relevant areas with at least 4 years related experience in an<p>enterprise environment <p> Demonstrated experience and<p>success supervising others or acting as a work leader and strong interpersonal/relationship<p>building skills<p> Demonstrated success<p>executing responsibilities with limited supervision and taking initiative to<p>address problem situations and resolve conflicts<p> Demonstrably strong<p>documentation skills and practices of procedures and configurations, technical<p>workflows, project planning and reports<p> Demonstrated experience designing and<p>teaching technical workshops<p> The ability and desire to<p>maintain currency in their profession. <p>Industry certifications will be considered assets: e.g. MCSE, ITIL,<p>PMP/CAPM, A+, etc.<p> Available for emergency call-in maintenance<p>duties outside of scheduled hours as required <p> Valid BC Drivers License:<p>travel throughout the District will be required, travel reimbursement provided<p>as per Board policy<p> Physically capable of performing the<p>duties of the position. <p>Competition Closes Monday July 8, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. Please<p>note that prospective employees new to School District No. 48 (Sea to Sky) must<p>agree to undergo a criminal records check, as failure to do so will be grounds<p>for refusing employment.Applications<p>should be submitted through the Make a Future at https://www.makeafuture.ca/regions-districts/bc-public-school-districts/metro/sea-to-sky/ We<p>thank all applicants for their interest, but only those applicants who have<p>been given consideration for an interview will be contacted.School District No.48 (Sea to Sky) prioritizes those candidates who<p>self-identify as Indigenous, LGBTQIA2S+, a member of a visible minority and/or<p>a person with a disability for all positions within the School District.
