Cresco is looking for a Financial Analyst to join their team at their Bedford head office.Reporting to the Controller, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting with the accounting and reporting of multiple companies, day-to-day banking, financial analysis for stakeholders and government reporting and remittances.ResponsibilitiesPrepare various month-end and quarter-end reports for multiple companies.Assist with building reports and preparation of internal reporting packages for management team and partners.Work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders for budget preparation and analysis.Identify useful and relevant information, process it, analyze and organize it into various models in order to support senior management in decision making.Reconcile intercompany transactions and cross billings.Analytical review of Income Statement and Balance Sheets to ensure transaction posting accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards, procedures, and internal controls.Provide value added insight to financial information presented internally and externally to various stakeholders.Testing and review of procedures to ensure effective internal processes, systems, and controls are in place to safeguard company assets.Assist with preparation of year-end files for external accountants, and in responding to requests for additional information, as needed.Review and assist with the timely completion of all Government reporting and remittances, including Statistics Canada and CRA requests for additional information.Support and work with the Finance team with systems and process improvements throughout the organization.Prepare annual commercial real estate rental calculations.QualificationsCPA designationPrevious experience in a high-volume or multi-entity environmentStrong attention to detail and analytical skills including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessaryAbility to effectively manage time and meet deadlines, while multi-tasking competing prioritiesSelf-motivated with strong initiative, and an inquisitive mindProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft ExcelWe are looking for a highly skilled CPA with excellent time management and organizational skills.
