You will?Perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Westbank First Nation policies, standards, and procedures Administer the Income Assistance aspect of the Social Development Program and interprets Income Assistance policy and procedures to clients Work with clients to complete Income Assistance application that includes all required documentation listed by Indigenous Services Canada (ISC). Complete Income Assistance applications to calculate client?s financial eligibility and other required steps i.e. Cross-checks with Housing and Social Development (off reserve) or other Bands. Processing and preparing budget and decision forms on a monthly basis that includes maximum allowable rates for basic and shelter support Prepare and distributes monthly Income Assistance pay list to Finance Maintain a confidential file (electronic/hardcopies) on each client which is to include case note recordings, copies of all required forms in connection with applications for assistance Must Haves:Diploma in Human Services Worker and/or equivalent experience working in this field Willing to participate in the ISC BC Region Income Assistance training sessions Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered Must have experience working in First Nations communities Must have experience working with Indigenous Services Canada Policies and Procedures Criminal Record Check with results acceptable to WFN Perks of Working at WFN:Competitive compensation package including 3 weeks? vacation Extended Health Care (including Vision and Paramedical Services), Dental, Basic Life Insurance, Employee Assistance Program, and Health Spending Account Municipal Pension Plan membership Access to Big White Season Passes (Summer & Winter) Employee Recognition Program Access to LinkedIn Learning for Professional DevelopmentThe minimum starting salary for this position is $51,802Application Details:To review the full job description and to learn more about Westbank First Nation please visit our website at https://www.wfn.ca.
