Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Motor vehicles. Work setting: Courier company. Tasks: Supervise workers and projects. Train or arrange for training. Dispatch bus drivers and monitor routes. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Recommend personnel actions. Co-ordinate repairs and rentals. Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand. Use maps and other trip planning aids. Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems. Professionalism in customer service. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products. Supervision: Delivery drivers. More than 20 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles). Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel. MS Outlook. MS Word. Type of industry experience: Trucking. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Flexibility.
