Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. Tasks: Direct planting of trees, gardens and lawns. Hire, supervise and schedule staff. Organize planting of trees, gardens and lawns. Resolve work problems by providing technical advice to increase the value and functionality of a property. Schedule work. Plan and direct grounds maintenance. Plan and estimate labour and materials. Plan, manage and supervise landscape construction work. Maintain work records and logs. Repair and maintain equipment. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Supervision: 3-4 people. Equipment and machinery experience: Pick-up truck. Area of work experience: Snow removal. Area of specialization: Grounds maintenance. Landscape construction. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Ability to distinguish between colours. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods.
