Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Dental practice. Tasks: Prepare patients for dental examinations. Order dental and office supplies. Prepare dental instruments and filling materials. Perform reception and clerical duties. Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment. Educate patients concerning oral hygiene. Polish teeth and clinical crowns and apply fluoride and sealant. Schedule and confirm appointments. Perform intra-oral duties. Record dental procedures performed on patients. Invoice patients for dental services. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Certification by the National Dental Assisting Examining Board. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?. Do you have the above-indicated required certifications?.
