Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Administer tests using equipment, instruct patients on test procedures and record results, and monitor, check and calibrate auditory equipment. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies. Process claims such as health insurance or workers compensation. Manage routine office functions including reception, telephone and booking appointments. Organize and maintain inventory. Area of specialization: Obtain specifications for eyeglasses or contact lenses and fit clients with prescription eyeglasses or contact lenses. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Personal suitability: Flexibility. Organized. Reliability.
