Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Select, measure, cut, ream and thread pipe. Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment. Install clamps, brackets and hangers to support piping system and sprinkler and fire protection equipment, using hand and power tools. Join pipes and piping sections using soldering and welding equipment. Select type and size of pipe required. Test system for leaks using testing equipment. Estimate costs and materials. Repair and maintain equipment. Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Steamfitter and Pipefitter Trade Certification. Type of industry experience: Pipelines. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Health benefits: Dental plan.
