Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer. Willing to relocate. Hospital/medical facility or clinic. Tasks: Analyze the patient during the treatments. Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to produce and record images. Monitor examination to evaluate quality and consistency of diagnostic images, and make adjustments to equipment, as required. Prepare examination reports for physicians. Check ultrasound equipment to ensure proper operation. Clean and maintain equipment. Initiate and maintain confidential medical files and records. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : CRGS - Canadian Registered Generalist Sonographer. CRVS - Canadian Registered Vascular Sonographer. Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers Registration. Certification by a provincial or territorial association. Area of specialization: Abdominal sonography. Obstetrical and gynecological sonography. Peripheral vascular sonography. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel regularly. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently.
