Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: At heights. Clean. Tasks: Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted. Repair cracks and holes. Mix paint to desired colour and texture. Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings. Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging. Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces. Select appropriate paint or mix paints. Order merchandise. Clean and prepare surfaces. Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. Fall Arrest Protection Training Course. Equipment and machinery experience: Brush painting. Roller painting. Surface preparation experience: Drywall taping/patching. Water/hydroblasting. Sandblasters. Area of specialization: Painting. Coating/application specialization: Paint spraying. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Ability to distinguish between colours. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
