Program Promotion and Development Promote Friendly Calls Program initiatives and encourage client development of the Home and Community Care sector. Develop, implement, and evaluate a program assessment tool to determine current and future needs of the Friendly Calls Program. Develop, implement, and evaluate a referral program to encourage client development. Gathering data to prepare reports for the purpose of evaluating program success and referral process success. Responsibility 2. Volunteer Workforce Development Strengthen and train volunteer workforce to provide Friendly Calls services utilizing existing Red Cross programs and support teams. Integrates volunteer resources within the scope of responsibilities, as required. Responsibility 3. Support Student Nutrition Program Work with the Food and Logistics Coordinator to identify, source, and purchase equipment and food for local programs when funding is made available. Organize and coordinate the distribution of in-kind donations, donated food, and gifts. Provide broader support to the Student Nutrition Program team. Responsibility 4. Work Environment/Occupational Health and Safety Participates and promotes completion of mandatory health and safety education/orientation. Aware of and adheres to policies and procedures related to health, safety and quality matters to ensure employee, volunteer, and client safety. Ensures all near-misses and incidents are promptly and accurately reported to their coordinator or designate. Responsibility 5. Communication Participate in internal and external program stakeholder meetings and communicate regularly with various stakeholders. Engage with external community partners in the Home and Community Care sector to enhance program planning and implementation. Ensures ethical conduct of program activities and the confidentiality of program participants. Represents the program in a variety of contexts with a diverse range of audiences. What we are looking for : One to three years' experience in community program development or a relevant sector. Post secondary education is an asset. Excellent collaborator and skilled in partnership development. Volunteer management and training experience. Strong interpersonal, customer service and empathy skills. Commitment and clear understanding of privacy and confidentiality. Experience in school nutrition related programs is an asset. Experience working with schools and school boards is an asset. Valid provincial driver's license as well as access to a reliable vehicle would be an asset. Excellent data management skills and attention to detail. Strong computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive. Working conditions : Duties are principally conducted in the CRC Thunder Bay office.
