Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Odours. Cold/refrigerated. Work setting: Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment. Tasks: Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting. Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat. Wrap and package prepared meats. Remove bones from meat. Cut poultry into parts. Clean and prepare fish and shellfish. Grind meats. Prepare special orders. Cut beef, lamb, pork or veal carcasses or sides or quarters of carcasses into primal cuts for further cutting, processing or packaging. Cut meat and poultry into specific cuts for institutional, commercial or other wholesale use. Equipment and machinery experience: Manual cutting utensil. Power grinder. Slicing machine. Saws. Power cutting tools. Knives. Cleavers. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Standing for extended periods. Attention to detail. Physically demanding. Hand-eye co-ordination. Repetitive tasks. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Personal suitability: Accurate. Judgement. Experience: Will train.
