Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification. Truck-Trailer Repairer Trade Certification. Truck-Trailer Repairer Red Seal Endorsement. Area of specialization: Engine repair. 4-wheel drive. Electrical and electronic system. Diesel engines. Alignment, steering and suspension. Brake system. Hydraulic system. Ignition and electrical system. Standard transmission. Engine repair and overhaul. Drive train components. Truck-trailer repair. Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Hand-eye co-ordination. Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Screening questions: Are you available for shift or on-call work?. Are you available for the advertised start date?.
