Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Aviation/aerospace manufacturing. General manufacturing. Tasks: Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables. Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments. Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances. Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Measuring tools: Micrometers. Callipers. Calibre. Gauges. Verniers. Equipment and machinery experience: Computer-aided design (CAD). Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Own vehicle. Public transportation is not available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Attention to detail. Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs). Personal suitability: Accurate. Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Flexibility. Initiative. Team player. Quick learner.
