<p> <p> <p> <p> <p><p> <p>We invite applications for the positions of:<p><p> <p> <p>School: Student Services<p>Position: Learning Support Teacher, French Immersion<p>FTE: .60FTE (days per week are flexible)<p>Grade: District K-12<p>Status: Temporary<p>Start Date: September 3, 2024 to June 30, 2025<p>Qualifications:<p><p> Bachelor of Education and/or PDP<p> Master?s or Bachelor?s degree in Inclusive Education or post-graduate diploma in Inclusive Education <p> Training and/or experience at writing and maintaining IEPs<p> Has a minimum B2 level DELF communication skills in French or has successfully passed the district?s French qualifications exam<p> Is bilingual and able to communicate in written and oral form in French and English<p> Recent successful training and experience in standardized Level A and B assessment<p> Successful teaching experience at both the primary, and intermediate level<p> Successful teaching experience at the middle and secondary level<p> Strong interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills<p><p>Job Duties:<p><p> Act as case manager to support and plan interventions, facilitation of meetings, and the management of the<p> IEP to meet the individual goals of students with both high and low incidence designations<p> Fulfill policies and procedures as outlined in the Manual of Special Education Services: <p> A Manual of Policies, Procedures and Guidelines<p> Work in collaboration with teachers modeling instructional strategies for teachers, providing <p> additional resources as well as providing additional instruction for students that have learning difficulties<p> Assess student progress and write reports on attainment and progress as required<p> Provision of specific, targeted teaching to individuals or groups requiring additional help<p> Promote and support differentiated instruction at the classroom level<p> Collect, monitor and disseminate student information as well as keep detailed records where needed<p> Work collaboratively with district staff and other specialists to coordinate required information and services for students with special needs<p><p> <p> <p>For your application to be considered, all required documents must be included with your application which include: <p><p> resume<p> cover letter<p> recent teaching reports and/or practicum reports<p> copy of BC Teaching Certificate and/or TQS card or information on current status<p><p>The starting annual salary for this position ranges from $57,972-$106,217, with placement on the range based on length of service, FTE and qualifications in accordance with the Collective Agreement.<p>Please be sure that you have received a confirmation from Make a Future that you have applied to a specific posting.
