Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Tasks: Administer tests using equipment, instruct patients on test procedures and record results, and monitor, check and calibrate auditory equipment. Assess patients' physical abilities. Assist health care professionals. Assist physicians in the assessment of patients. Develop information materials for patients. Help physical therapists. Maintain prescription records . Position patients for treatments by chiropractor or machine. Set up and dismantle equipment. Operate and maintain sterilization equipment and instrumentation for re-use according to standardized safety practices. Plan physiotherapy programs. Process claims such as health insurance or workers compensation. Collect statistics. Maintain clinical and progress reports. Maintain supplies. Confer with other health professionals. Maintain inventory of equipment. Document patient rehabilitation progress. Prepare and maintain cleanliness of collection areas. Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients. Order supplies and equipment. Area of specialization: Physiotherapy. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Hand-eye co-ordination.
