We are searching for a Lead Guest Service Agent to join our Glenerin Inn and Spa team based in Mississauga, Ontario. Meaningful Benefits Approximate hourly wage: $20.00 - $20.85 Comprehensive health and dental benefits plan (eligible immediately upon hire for part-time & full-time staff) including an Employee and Family Assistance Program Access to virtual healthcare 24/7 for FREE through the group health benefit plan RRSP program (5% employer matching) Vacation accrual (begins immediately) and travel insurance Free onsite parking Access to thousands of vendors offering perks and discounts through our WorkPerks program Access to continuing education and training through Shannex's Centre of Excellence Opportunities to be part of sector innovation and continuous improvement initiatives Recognition and Rewards for service excellence and safety About the Opportunity Greets guests and provides them with assistance and information as requested in a professional, courteous and hospitable manner; Responsible for checking guests in and out of the Inn; Responsible for taking dining room reservations; Anticipates and responds to all guest issues/situations promptly and takes appropriate action to rectify concerns; Informs guests by providing information about the hotel and the local area/city; Responsible for balancing of their assigned cash float; Answers internal or external phone calls in a pleasant and professional manner; Adheres to company policies & procedures at all times; Ensures the front lobby is tidy and free of debris; Displays responsible behavior consistent with adherence to organization standards e.g. employee standards of conduct, policies, procedures, etc.; Ensure that guest rooms keys are available by the designated time; Communicates information with team members at shift change; Training on accounts receivable functions Training on weekly revenue management Assist with team member training/orientation Development of incentive program for GSAs Performs all other related duties as assigned. About You In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring: High School Diploma; Strong computer and keyboarding skills; Minimum 6 months experience in a related experience; Experience working as a front desk attendant, or similar, in a hospitality environment; Bilingualism, an asset.
