Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings. Repair roofing systems. Instruct apprentices. Supervise other workers. Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools. Install sheet metal flashings. Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Rooftop Safety Training. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Scaffolding Certification. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Handling heavy loads. Repetitive tasks. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Personal suitability: Dependability. Reliability. Team player. Screening questions: Do you have previous experience in this field of employment?.
