Job details
Beyond is looking for an *Technical Writer* to join our company. As our Technical Writer, you'll create high-quality technical documentation for both internal and external audiences. You'll also manage our document control processes, ensuring that all materials are accurate, up-to-date, and adhere to our high standards. Occasional travel is required to Calgary and Blackfalds.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Develop and maintain user manuals, technical guides, and process documentation for our proprietary hardware and software solutions in both electronic and hardcopy forms
* Collaborate with different teams to gather information and transform complex technical concepts into clear, concise content by meeting with and interviewing field staff, engineers, management and office and facility-based employees
* Implement and maintain document control processes, including version control and content management using SharePoint
* Create and update internal and external communication materials, including presentations and web content
* Continuously improve existing documentation and processes to ensure content remains current, relevant, and useful
* Ensure all documentation adheres to corporate style guides and best practices
* Manage the organization and maintenance of our electronic document management system
* Establish and maintain document files in accordance with records retention standards
*Required Qualifications*
* Bachelor's degree, college diploma with demonstrated writing and technical abilities, or equivalent education and related work experience.
* 5+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a technology or engineering environment
* Proven ability to translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly documentation
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail
* Experience with document control processes and systems
*Expert proficiency with technical communication tools, including:*
* Microsoft SharePoint
* Microsoft Office Suite
* Adobe Acrobat or equivalent
* Canvas Envision
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Experience in the Oil and Gas industry
* Experience with Document Control and systems/software
