Title: Secondary Occasional Teacher Roster<p>Position Open To : Internal and External ApplicantsPosting Overview: <p>The Lambton Kent District School Board, serves more than 21,000 students in 50 elementary and 12 secondary schools across Sarnia-Lambton and Chatham-Kent.<p>Prospective qualified secondary teachers that meet the following criteria are encouraged to apply.<p> must be available to start working immediately or once OCT has been processed;<p> must be available to work a minimum of 3-5 days/week;<p> must be available to work 10 months of the school year; <p> must be willing to travel throughout Chatham-Kent and/or Sarnia-Lambton; <p> must be available to work on a daily occasional basis; <p> must be available to work on a last-minute, call-in basis.<p>Prospective candidates currently enrolled in teachers college are encouraged to apply. <p>Successful applicants will be expected to commence employment immediately or once they become OCT qualified (for new graduates/current students).Qualifications/Experience: <p> Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification; <p> qualifications in French, Ojibwe or Lenape language are an asset; <p> additional qualifications are an asset; <p> demonstrated knowledge of current Ontario curriculum and assessment, evaluation, and reporting practices; <p> excellent communication skills in order to effectively interact with students, parents and staff; <p> demonstrates positive interaction and collaboration as part of the school team; <p> applies consistent and fair classroom management; <p> experience working with youth in a variety of settings; <p> experience working with diverse cultures including First Nations, Metis, and Inuit; <p> ability to integrate technology into curriculum.<p>Application Instructions: <p>Applicants should submit a cover letter and resume before 4:00 p.m. on the posting closing date.
