National Energy Equipment Inc is Canadian owned and operated, with branches across the country. We are a diversified company, consisting of HVAC, Hearth, Automation, EV, Propane, Petroleum and Service departments.
We design, distribute and service complete fuel delivery systems and fluid handling systems for use in agriculture, aviation, commercial/retail petroleum, and industrial/bulk plant applications. We are the largest propane equipment distribution company in Canada, and we supply a broad assortment of Hearth products as well as a full line of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and home comfort equipment.
*Scope:*
We are looking to add a Product Manager to our cohesive and high-energy HVAC division! You will be responsible for overseeing the development and launch of HVAC products, from initial concept to final release, while ensuring that all products meet the needs of the market.
As Product Manager, you will guide a team that is charged with product line contribution. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. You will help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.
A solid foundation on the diverse HVAC systems, critical roles, responsibilities and market analysis will set you apart and set you up for success.
*Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:*
· Gathering market data and customer insights; staying up to date with the latest trends and developments in the HVAC industry while gathering insight into customer needs.
· Managing product development process; oversee the entire product development process from initial concept to final release on time and within budget.
· Act as a first point of reference for all product-related enquires and work collaboratively with colleagues to address an issues that may arise.
· Responsible for providing the sales team with the necessary technical expertise to enable them to sell the product. This involves printed and electronic promotional material and product training.
· Lead cross-function teams; motivate and guide to ensure products are developed to the highest standard.
· Responsible for reviewing product data to ensure that the sales force is kept up to date on new developments.
· Specify market requirements current and future products.
· Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product.
*Qualifications / Skills:*
· Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration or a related field
· 3 to 5 years of technical knowledge of HVAC systems and components
· Market research and analysis skills
· Project management skills
· Highly organized, with a high level of accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail
· Ability to take initiative with a proactive approach
· Effective communication and leadership skills; ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams
· Strong customer relationships management skills; building strong relationships with customers and understand their needs and preferences
· Highly motivated and energetic with a positive attitude
· Proven ability to prioritize, multi-task and think ahead
