*Position Overview*
The Hospitality Manager uses a collaborative leadership style to direct front line staff, ensuring the safety, security and wellbeing of the residents CPSH serves. The The Hospitality Manager will also ensure positive relationships with resident?s families, and other outside agencies.
The Hospitality Manager is responsible for managing, coordinating and enhancing facility operations in Dietary Services.
*Direct Responsibility*
The Hospitality Manager responsible to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
The Hospitality Manager directly supervises Housekeeping and Dietary Services

· In-depth knowledge of the food industry, including current trends and best practices

· Proven ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team of kitchen employees
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
· Knowledge of applicable legislation, unionized settings, Alberta Senior Housing, Alberta Health Service, and contracts.
· Must have good time management skills.
*Responsibilities:*
Oversee daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
Manage inventory and order supplies as needed for kitchen
Train and supervise kitchen staff, including scheduling and performance evaluations
Develops a 4?6-week menu cycle for our residents (Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter)
Monitor food quality and consistency to ensure customer satisfaction
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Adhere to budgetary guidelines and control costs
Ensures that all aspects of the Accommodation Standards are implemented and followed in all areas of Food Services.
Ensures that all aspects of AHS Environmental Public Health requirements are implemented and followed in all areas. Maintains required documents and readily available for Auditors.
Fosters effective teamwork with the Management team
Prepares an operations report for the monthly board meetings.
Implements a performance management process for all operations staff, which includes monitoring their performance on an on-going basis and conducting an annual performance review.
Consistently approachable to Dietary Services all staff and receptive to staff input
Coaches and mentors Dietary Services staff as appropriate to improve performance.
Communicates effectively and on a regular basis to provide direction & guidance.
Participates in monthly management team meetings, staff meetings, and conducts monthly kitchen meetings.
Conducts Resident Dietary meetings.
Demonstrates willingness to implement or try new approaches to solving identified problems
Corrects inappropriate behavior promptly to minimize the need for formal disciplinary actions.
Gains the respect and trust of staff by using a transparent and shared decision-making approach.
Represents the CPSH in a professional & knowledgeable manner.
Maintain a positive working relationship and effectively communicates and liaises with various vendors, agencies and when necessary, the required levels of government.
