FNMI LIAISON WORKER/GRAD COACH <p>Required for ST. PAUL ALTERNATE EDUCATION CENTRE St. Paul Alternate Education Centre (SPAEC) requires a fulltime FNMI Liaison Worker to commence September 2024. <p>SPAEC, located in St. Paul, AB, is a Grade 9-12 school with approximately 80 students.<p>The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the Cree culture within our school and community and filling the role of liaison between the school and our families. As well as, promoting and creating opportunities for our students to see, tour, and explore post secondary options. They will work closely with the CAREERS program to encourage our youth to see themselves at post-secondary.<p>ALL CANDIDATES WILL: understand and communicate effectively in the oral and written Cree language.<p> use traditional Cree ways of knowing to create educational resources for learners that teach the Cree language and culture.<p> be enthusiastic and student centered. <p> be collaborative and committed to building relationships with students, parents and staff.<p> have a commitment and desire to learn in order to:<p> have a strong curriculum knowledge.<p> understand and correctly use formative/summative assessment.<p> practice effective differentiated learning strategies to ensure learning.<p> use technology to enhance learning and engage learnersFor further information, contact Breana Malcolmson, Principal, at 780-645-8121, or by email malcbrea@sperd.ca.<p>Please submit your resume by email to malcbrea@sperd.ca by 12:00 p.m., Friday, September 6th. Our 19 definable school sites are staffed by approximately 240 FTE teaching staff and 345 support staff. <p>
