Commencing September 3, 2024 to June 20, 2025 <p> 32.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 6.5 hours per day 8:30 am to 3:30 pm) <p> Open to internal and external applicants <p> Click on Sign in With Employee Email to be considered an Internal Applicant <p> POSITION SUMMARY<p> Cafeteria Assistants main responsibility is to provide assistance in the kitchen. The cafeteria assistant assists in all areas of the cafeteria to ensure they are run in a positive and efficient manner. The cafeteria assistant helps teachers with many instructional and non-instructional tasks in the classroom and the kitchen. Under the direction of the teacher, they usually will perform duties in the kitchen to complete tasks that the students are unable to finish or complete. <p> Work independently with students or in the classroom with the teacher<p> Work with a particular special needs student or a group of students within a class<p> Work as part of a multidisciplinary team<p> Perform related duties in the kitchen RESPONSIBILITIES <p> Kitchen, Cafeteria & Cafe Duties <p> Assist students in sandwich production<p> Assist students in making salads and dressings<p> Assist students in making cold platters<p> Help students to choose proper ingredients<p> Washing dishes and cleaning kitchen, cafeteria and cafe<p> Prepare food for outside catering orders or special events<p> Work some banquets when necessary<p> Assist fellow workers in kitchen to ensure completion of jobs<p> Assist in maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and it's equipment<p> Assist in the organizing and cleaning of the storeroom and fridge<p> Do laundry throughout the day to ensure clean aprons and cloths<p> Assist in preparing, setting up, and dismantling displays, information areas, and work areas Instructional Support<p> Assist students with sandwich and salad products and procedures under the direction of the teacher.
