Responsibilities
Tasks

Repair minor mechanical problems such as broken or defective needles

Set up looms or other processing machines

Notify supervisor or repairers of mechanical malfunctions

Verify equipment's efficiency

Investigate machine stoppages

Operate machines that produce twine, ropes or nets

Make adjustments to machinery

Operate large automatic multi-needle machines to embroider or to sew lengths of several layers of material

Patrol machines and check fabrics or products for defects and to verify efficient operation

Set up quilting frames for large quilted products

Operate cutting machines to trim edges of quilts
