Operators use technical skills, drawings, schematics, programming, and other documentation to produce quality parts to maintain the production schedule and meet company standards.</p><p>Hours of Work:</p><p>Afternoon Shift: 4:30 PM to 2:30 AM (Monday ? Thursday) 40 Hours per week</p><p><br> What you will be doing:<br><br>? Operate equipment in a safe and professional manner.<br>? Cut a variety of structural steel according to drawings and specifications.<br>? Perform a daily machine inspection before each use and document in the book provided.<br>? Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation.<br>? Use forklifts, cranes and hand tools when required.<br>? Troubleshoot machining problems and make modifications as needed.<br>? Inspect, verify material, and dimensions as per drawings.<br>? Check quality of cut product and notify supervisor of process issues.<br>? Operate and navigate in a windows-based computer environment.<br>? Monitor and maintain tooling in peak conditions.<br>? Keep a clean and safe work area.<br>? Maintain a consistent line of communication between themselves, the Supervisor and/or workers on opposite shifts<br>? Perform other duties outside the normal scope of your daily tasks for the betterment of the company.<br>? Maintain adequate attendance.</p> <br> <p>What you bring to Cambridge Pro Fab Inc.</p><ul><li>2+ years as a CNC Machine Operator experience.</li><li>Technical program through college an asset.</li><li>Set-up and troubleshooting experience.</li><li>Experience using measuring tools: tape measures, Vernier calipers, height gauge, etc.</li><li>Work with hands, lifting and moving large pieces of metal, and stand for hours at a time, all of which requires physical strength and stamina.</li><li>Math skills to read and interpret blueprints.</li><li>Metal fabrication experience with blueprint reading.</li><li>Understanding metric and imperial measurements</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Excellent communication (both written and verbal), listening and organization skills.</li><li>Proven time management skills and strong attention to detail.</li><li>Works well under pressure.</li><li>Demonstrate initiative and is a proactive problem solver.</li><li>Be proactive and accountable for deadlines and job requirements.</li><li>Proven record of punctuality and reliability with a good attendance and performance record.</li><li>Safety conscious work habits.</li><li>Accountable and able to work in a team or with minimum supervision.</li></ul>- LocationBrantford, ON
