Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Noisy. Work setting: Fruit and vegetable processing plant. Tasks: Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies. Prepare production and other reports. Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers. Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Supervision: 5-10 people. Labourers in food, beverage and tobacco processing. Process control and machine operators, food and beverage processing. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Personal suitability: Organized. Team player. Reliability. Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years. Support for newcomers and refugees: Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.) . Does not require Canadian work experience. Support for youths: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth. Supports for visible minorities: Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities (for example: anonymizing the hiring process, etc.).- LocationOakville, ON
