Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Repair machine tools and parts. Set up and adjust production machineries/tools. Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Set up machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and grinders. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Machinist Trade Certification. Machinist Red Seal Endorsment. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Equipment and machinery experience: Boring machines. Drill presses. Milling machines. Surface grinders. Lathe. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Public transportation is not available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Tight deadlines. Physically demanding. Standing for extended periods. Attention to detail. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Accurate. Dependability.
