Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products. Accept payment or invoices for items delivered. Keep a record of items received and delivered. Load and unload goods. Sort packages for delivery. Follow directions and read map. Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems. Pay and receive payments for goods. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Transportation/travel experience: Local. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Vehicle supplied by employer. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Tight deadlines.
