*Job Summary*
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Millwright will install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot industrial machinery and mechanical equipment throughout the manufacturing facility.
*Responsibilities *
* Read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures. Dismantle machinery or equipment, using hand tools.
* Operate rigging equipment and dollies to locate heavy machinery and parts
* Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances
* Align and test equipment, and make any necessary adjustments
* Perform predictive and operational procedures
* Service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
* Assemble and install equipment, such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails, using hand tools and power tools.
* Responsible for constructing foundation for machines, using hand tools and building materials, such as wood cement, and steel.
* Align machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, lasers.
* Assemble machinery and bolt, weld, rivet, or otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structures, using hand tools and power tools.
* May operate engine lathe or milling machine to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications.
* Required repair and lubricate machinery and equipment.
* Service, repair, replace plant paint application equipment, fork truck, and material handling equipment.
* Working at heights as required by job task
*Education/Certifications *
* Completion of Millwright apprenticeship and qualifying exam
* 433A Millwright License
*Qualifications *
* Use logical step-by-step procedures in work.
* Ability to follow instructions and read blueprints
* Plan work and solve problems.
* Ability to make decisions based on measurable information.
* Perform a variety of duties which may change often; and operate machinery.
* Strength, stamina and the use of proper lifting techniques required for handling items weighing up to 25 kilograms
* Good coordination and manual dexterity
* The ability to visualize a layout by looking at plans and prints
* The ability to comprehend and trouble-shoot mechanical systems
* The ability to get along with and sometimes supervise the work of others
* Attention to detail and conscientiousness
* Very good physical condition and strength

* 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
* Afternoon shift
