Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs. Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse. Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings. Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs. Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment. Perform minor repairs on appliances. Perform safety and security checks. Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies. Work with minimal supervision. Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas. Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Weight handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs). Personal suitability: Organized. Reliability. Experience: Experience an asset. Support for newcomers and refugees: Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees . Support for youths: Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth.
