Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: General manufacturing. Tasks: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables. Set up and adjust production machineries/tools. Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance. Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances. Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports. Measuring tools: Micrometers. Callipers. Calibre. Gauges. Verniers. Equipment and machinery experience: Automatic lathes. Drill presses. Engine lathes. Milling machines. Shapers. Single purpose production machine. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Accurate. Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Initiative. Team player.
